Somewhere great to go for lunch in Miami – Perricones Market Place and Cafe. It was recommended to me by the friendly doorman at the Conrad Hotel. Perricones (I later learnt) is often described as the best Italian restaurant in Miami. I can see why. The food is really good, although I can imagine that an Italian would quarrel with the idea of serving pasta and chicken together. Such things aside, it’s a lovely place with a very cool vibe. The staff are polite, but not overly attentive, which is wonderful if all you’re after is a quiet afternoon with good food.
Perricones is nicely tucked away on SE 10th Street, which intersects with Brickell Avenue, where I was staying. It has an unassuming air and a rather rustic feel to it. I didn’t take any pictures (perhaps this blog post explains why), but you can read more about them on their website.
I will definitely go back. I hope it’s a short wait until then.
