Headed out for a walk, and returned with an armful of whisky. Scotch of course, but also bottlings from the US, Japan, and India (yes, India). I’ll do some reviews over at my other place.

The Smokehead 43% is a lovely peated single malt whisky from this impressive distillery. Puts me in mind of the Lagavulin – no surprises there, given its home in the Kidalton distilleries. Powerful taste, strong woodsmoke, and something a bit gentle as well.

Had this one for the first time yesterday. Looking forward to the next time.
