I was curious about this street because it is named after someone who is described simply as the wife of someone else.

Surely that cannot have been the only thing noteworthy about Maria van Reigersbergen.

So who was she, really?

The camera doesn’t do this building much justice. It simply has to be seen.

I really like this one. My introduction to Oban, and it’s going well.

I’m fascinated by the stories behind Amsterdam’s street names. Particularly those streets that are named after people.

This is van Noordtkade, in the Westerpark, named after Olivier van Noort.

An apt title for a song, during these days of global quarantine and self-isolation.
